Freshman Mike Grasela (New Beford, Mass./New Bedford) was named the MASCAC's Men's Track Athlete of the Week this past week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Grasela earns his first MASCAC Weekly honor of the season after leading Fitchburg State at the Northeastern Husky Spring Open this past weekend. The freshman runner posted the top, individual performance for the Falcons, taking home top honors in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:43.25.
The Fitchburg State men's and women's outdoor track teams will be in action again this weekend as they participate at the Worcester City Meet on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
