Senior Kyle Callahan (Stoneham, Mass./Stoneham) earns his first Soarin Falcon honor after being named the MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office this week.

Callahan collected his second consecutive MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week honor after bettering his Division III New England qualifying mark in the high jump (6', 1.25") with a first place finish at the MIT Coed Invitational. Callahan added to his outstanding performance, posting a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 40 feet, 2.25 inches.

This season, Callahan has made his mark within the high-jump event, posting a pair of DIII New England marks in his first two meets of the year. At the Tufts University Invitational, Callahan posted a second place finish in the high-jump with a height of 1.86 meters and currently has his eyes set on the ECAC mark of 1.93 meters.

The Fitchburg State men's and women's indoor track team will be in action this weekend as it travels to Boston University for an All-Division Meet on Friday and Saturday.
