Junior Carlos De La Rosa (Holyoke, Mass./Holyoke) earns his second Soarin Falcon award of the year after being named to the 2009 Division III Northeast Football All-Star team as announced by ECAC Commissioner Rudy Keeling.

De La Rosa continues to add to his 2009 post-season accomplishments with his fourth honor of the year after being named to the ECAC, the New England Football Conference (NEFC), and Worcester All-Area first teams. The standout wide-receiver registered a career-season for the Falcons, totaling career-highs in yards (773), yards per game (77.3), receptions (48), and touchdowns (10).

Among all NEFC players, De La Rosa topped the charts in several categories, ranking first in yards, second in yards per game, fifth in receptions and seventh in scoring (62). In addition to his statistical accolades, De La Rosa also etched his name in the Fitchburg State record books, posting the program's all-time single season touchdown mark and career TD record. His ten TDs this season ranks first in program history, while his 17 career touchdowns surpassed former standout Carmy Cesaire, Jr's (2004) previous record of 16.

The Fitchburg State football team concluded its 2009 season with an overall record of 4-6 and a 2-5 mark in the New England Football Conference.
