Freshman Emily Lane (Clinton, Conn./The Morgan School) collects her first career Soarin Falcon award after lifting the Fitchburg State women's track team at the Boston University All-Division Terrier Invitational.

Lane registered an outstanding performance over the course of the two day event as the first-year member earned post-season honors in a pair of events. Lane notched two Division III qualifying marks both on the track and in the field, posting a 17th place performance in the high-jump (1.52m) and 28th place finish in the 55m hurdles (9.46).

This season, Lane has been nothing but stellar as she has been strong from the get-go. In her first meet of the new year, Lane registered the top MASCAC height in the high-jump, placing sixth overall with a jump of 1.55m (5'-1"). The freshman standout was also strong on the track, finishing 22nd in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.31.

The Fitchburg State men's and women's track team will be in action again on Saturday as it travels to Tufts University at 11 a.m.
