Amy Fahey, Women's Basketball
Sophomore Amy Fahey (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after leading the Fitchburg State women’s basketball team to a perfect 3-0 week.
Fahey was named the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, averaging a double-double effort of 23 points and 10.3 rebounds in the week for the Falcons, earning all-tournament honors at Curry Tip-Off Tournament. The sophomore forward notched 28 points and 13 caroms in 80-68 championship game victory over Maine Maritime to go with 20 points and ten boards in 73-65 opening round triumph over host Curry.
The Fitchburg State women’s basketball team (3-0, 0-0 MASCAC) will be back in action tomorrow as it travels to UMass Boston at 5:30 p.m.
