Megan Jacobs, Field Hockey

Fitchburg State senior Megan Jacobs (Stoughton, Mass./Stoughton) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after being named the Little East Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.

This week, Jacobs paced the Fitchburg State offensive attack with eight goals and three assists for 19 points. The product of Stoughton, Mass. became Fitchburg State’s all-time leader in goals scored (41), putting an additional five markers between the previous standard set by Amy Kosiewski (36, 1993). Jacobs matched the program record against Anna Maria with a season-high eight points, including three tallies, on Sept. 3 before etching her name in the Falcon record books with the first of her three goals at Becker College.

The Falcons field hockey squad will host Nichols College on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
