Junior pitcher Kerry Alcott (Groton, Mass./Groton-Dunstable) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the senior after guiding the Fitcbhurg State softball team to a 3-5 week.

Alcott finished 2-2 on the week, allowing just three earned runs with 18 K's in 25 innings of work, while posting a minimal 0.84 ERA. The first year Falcon yielded zero earned runs with six strikeouts in the complete game effort in Fitchburg State's 5-1 game two victory over Framingham State on Monday before spinning a gem for the Falcons, allowing just one earned run with 5 K's in the Falcons 3-2 game two victory against Westfield State on Sunday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State softball team (14-18, 6-4 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts the Lancers of Worcester State University in a conference doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
