AJ Silberman, Baseball
Senior AJ Silberman (Meriden, Conn./Wilcox Tech) collects his first Soaring Falcon honor of the season.
The second year shortstop hit .318 (7-for-22) including a homerun, five runs scored, three RBI and three stolen bases in five games on the week for the Fitchburg Stae baseball team. Silberman played a key role in the Falcons 7-4 victory over Nichols College on Wednesday, going 3-for-5 at the dish with two runs scored, three RBI, two steals and a clutch three run homer in the fifth inning befroe collecting a pair of hits with two runs scored and one steal in Fitchburg State's 7-5 setback to MASCAC rival Bridgewater State in game two of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State baseball team returns to action on Tuesday as it visits Lesley University for a contest starting at 7:00 p.m.
