Men’s Basketball Bested by Lasers
NEWTON, MA: The Fitchburg State men's basketball team suffered a non-conference loss to the Lasers of Lasell University this evening, 88-63.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams battled through 18 lead changes in the first half and six minutes into the second half. Once it got to 15 minutes remaining in the game, Lasell took control and extended their largest lead of the night, finishing the game on a 38-14 run.
- The Lasers were paced by both Andy Madesko and Esmer Madesko, who both scored 19 points each. Andy Madesko finished with one assist shy of a triple-double, with 11 rebounds and nine assists.
- The Falcons had four student-athletes score in double digits. Leading the way was Jalen Jackson (San Antonio, TX), who achieved a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Duvall Price (Lanham, MD), Tommy Engel-Chatten (Hopkinton, MA), and Xavier Smaltz (Allentown, PA) all added 10 points each.
