Mike Blanchard is in his second season as a volunteer assistant coach of the Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team.
Prior to Fitchburg State, Blanchard served four seasons as the head men's and women's lacrosse coach at Emerson College. Throughout his tenure, Blanchard transformed the Lions women's program, brining Emerson from a 2-7 record to a 13-4 mark during his final season. In addition to his on field accolades, Blanchard, a two-time Coach of the Year honoree (1 Men, 1 Women), led the Lions to the 2007 Men's Sportsmanship Award.
Over his career, Blanchard has also held other various lacrosse titles, including a three-year stint as the head coach for the Bay State Games Metro North Team. He was a three-year President of the Hull Youth Lacrosse team, while also holding a two-year rank as the Offensive Coach for the Southern New Hampshire University women’s lacrosse team (Division II).
A four-year member of the Boston College men's lacrosse team, Blanchard graduated from BC with a Bachelor of Arts in 1982.
