THE GAME: Fitchburg State is in search of its second division victory as it hosts the Owls of Westfield State University in an NEFC showdown. This season, the Owls have posted an overall record of 4-5 with a 3-3 mark in the NEFC Bogan Division.
THE SENIORS: Today is Senior Day at Elliot Field and the Fitchburg State football team would like to honor 13 seniors playing in their final regular season home game.
Seniors include: Lenny Masciangioli, Jeremy Kimber, Carlos De La Rosa, Jim Jaworski, Sean Golden, Chris Rose, Mike Chaplin, Mike Ferrara, Mike Vaughan, Anthony Bizzotto, Will Gasson, Jon Cadigan and Dave McKinnon.
THE LEADERS: Freshman Steph’fon Teague has led the Fitchburg State offense this season, totaling a team-high 417 yards on 120 carries, while senior Jeremy Kimber has brought in 35 receptions for 477 yards and four TD’s. Defensively, senior Anthony Bizzotto ranks first on the squad with 88 stops and six TFL’s, while classmate Chris Rose has added 40 tackles, a team-best four interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
