North Adams, MA – The Fitchburg State Ice Hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to the Trailblazers of MCLA this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from the Peter Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink.

How It Happened
MCLA opened the scoring midway through the first period as junior Sean Neu (Wake Forest, NC) collected a feed from freshman Sam Perdion (Strongsville, OH) and junior Luc Fricchione (West Springfield, MA) and deposited a shot into the back of net for his first marker on season for the 1-0 edge.
In the middle frame, the Trailblazers doubled the advantage (2-0) 2:58 into the stanza when junior Easton Moore (Red Deer, AB) fired a shot into the left side of net off an assist from classmate Christopher Gallagher (Albany, NY) for his third marker of the 2026 campaign.
The hosts upped the margin to 3-0 one minute late with junior Cody White (Orange, CT) receiving a pass from Fricchionie and putting a shot into the lower left corner for his third score on the season.
In the third period of play, MCLA secured the victory at the 18:07 mark with Gallagher depositing a shot into the back of the net for fourth tally on the season with assists from junior Cade Herrera (Brentwood, CA) and junior Luke Rhoss (Monroe, NY), resulting in the 4-0 final.
