Saints Rally Past Men’s Basketball

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men's basketball team fell to the Saints of Emmanuel College in non-conference action this evening, 68-66.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 12/8/25

- Score: Emmanuel 68, Fitchburg 66

- Records: Emmanuel (5-4), Fitchburg (6-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Falcons took a nine-point lead into the break after a solid nine-point half by Xavier Smaltz (Allentown, PA). The Saints would then have a big second-half rally after the Falcons found themselves up by 11 points with just a few minutes remaining. Emmanuel rallied back behind Noah Beaudet and Mahari Guerrier, who combined for 31 points. Guerrier led the way with 16 in the half, while Beaudet contributed 15.

- For the Saints, Beaudet led the way with a game-high 27 points to go along with four rebounds. Guerrier finished with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds.

- For the Flacons, Jalen Jackson (San Antonio, TX) finished with a team-high 18 points, along with seven rebounds. Smaltz finished with 14 points and five rebounds. Jeremiah Simeon (Norwalk, CT) was all over the boards with a team-high 11 rebounds, to go along with 10 points, giving him the double-double.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Shooting: Emmanuel 31.3% (21-67), Fitchburg 30.8% (20-65)

-  Three Point Shooting: Fitchburg 25% (3-12), Emmanuel 21.9% (7-32)

-  Free Throw Shooting: Fitchburg 74.2% (23-31), Emmanuel 67.9% (19-28)
