Camara Selected MASCAC WITK Athlete Of The Week

Lowell, MA. native receives first weekly accolade of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Camara registered her first weekly honor of the 2025-26 campaign after finishing second overall in the 60 meter hurdles with an All-New England qualifying time of 9.13 seconds, while placing 17th overall in the 200 meter with a time of 28.95 seconds for the Falcons at the 2026 Wesleyan Indoor Invitational on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Indoor Track team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2026 Branwen Smith-King Invitational, hosted by Tufts University, starting at 10:00AM.
