Goba Selected Women’s Indoor Track Rookie of the Week

Norton, Mass. native picks up first weekly accolade of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Skye Goba (Norton, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Rookie Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcon took top honors in the 1,000 meter with a DIII New England qualifying time and PR of 3:10.60, while guiding the Falcons 4x400 meter relay team to a first place time of 4:52.44 at the 2023 Westfield Invitational on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Indoor Track and Field team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2023 Lynn Ruddy Invitational, hosted by Bowdoin College.
