Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Match with Nichols

FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State women's soccer fell to the Bison of Nichols College this afternoon in non-conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/9/24

- Score: Nichols 2, Fitchburg 0

- Records: Nichols (4-6-2), Fitchburg (1-8-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Bison got the scoring started in the 11^th minute. Megan Tucker received a pass from Grace Killman inside the box, and she would pop it up to herself and head it in for the go-ahead score.

- The second half saw the Bison extend their lead to 2-0 in the 48^th minute. Nichols had solid ball movement, swinging the ball from the left to the right. Tucker earned another point after assisting Sarah Rucci for her first goal of the season.

- Saige Frazier saw nine shots on goal this evening. After saving all shots faced, she got the win (4-4-2) and completed the shutout. Cassandra Pendleton (Ware, MA) suffered the loss (0-1-2) after allowing two goals and making 12 saves.
