Fitchburg State Hosts “Think Pink” Game
The Fitchburg State women’s soccer team will be hosting its first annual “Think Pink” game this Tuesday, October 25th, as the Falcons host the Pioneers of Smith College in a non-conference contest at 7 p.m.
Women's soccer teams up with American Cancer Society for Think Pink night this Tuesday
FITCHBURG, Mass. (October 24, 2011) – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team will be hosting its first annual "Think Pink" game this Tuesday, October 25th, as the Falcons host the Pioneers of Smith College in a non-conference contest at 7 p.m.
Fitchburg State will be teaming up with the New England Region's, American Cancer Society (ACS), as they join the 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' campaign. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based, health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Together with millions of supporters, the ACS has saved lives and created a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
In honor of Fitchburg State's "Think Pink" night, the Fitchburg State University women's soccer team will be wearing custom made, pink jerseys to support the American Cancer Society's cause. A special "pink" game ball will also be used in the night's collegiate match and all Falcon fans are encouraged to show their support by wearing their favorite pink gear! Make sure to come on down to Elliot Field and join the Falcons in the fight against breast cancer this Tuesday, October 25th.
For those who cannot make Tuesday's festivities, all "Think Pink" activities, including the Falcons live women's soccer action will be available via the web at http://fitchburgfalcons.com/sports_information/webcast provided by NMTV Sports. All webcasts give Falcon fans the opportunity to view live video and audio feeds, including play-by-play announcing and commentary for all home events.
