How It Happened
1st quarter
Framingham State opened the contest with an 11-2 advantage on buckets from sophomore Faith Greene (Worcester, MA), senior Kiara Cerruti (Canton, MA) and senior Abigail Martin (Hanson, MA) before Fitchburg State answered with a jumper by senior Kaelynn Tanner (Lowell, MA) to make the score 11-4.
2nd quarter
The Rams pushed the lead to 28-4 as senior Kelsey Yelle (South Easton, MA) registered a layup, but the Falcons responded with a three-pointer by Tanner to cut the deficit to 28-7. The Green and Gold trimmed the margin to 33-13 when senior Alexis DeSimone (Westminster, MA) drained a three-ball and freshman Kyelah Smith (Bloomfield, CT) hit two free throws before the hosts took a 41-14 lead into the break with Greene hitting a layup.
3rd quarter
Following the intermission, Framingham State upped the margin to 50-17 as junior Ava Mckeon (North Attleboro, MA) connected on two free throws before Fitchburg State answered back when DeSimone netted a pair of layups to make the score 58-21.
4th quarter
The Falcons cut the lead to 82-31 on a DeSimone layup, but the Rams secured the victory when graduate student Lexie Reed (Alexandra, PA) netted a jumper, resulting in the 86-34 final.

- Falcons were paced by DeSimone with a team best 12 points, seven rebounds and one assist
- Smith added eight points, two caroms, two assists and one steal for the Green and Gold
- For the Rams, Mckeon finished with a game-best 16 points, two boards, three assists and two steals
- Greene chipped in with ten points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block
- Fitchburg State shot 11-for-55 (20.0%) from the field and (3-of-15) 20.0% from three-point range
