Women’s Basketball Falls to Clark in Non-Conference Action

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a closely contested first quarter that saw the Cougars only hold a two-point lead 15-13, they quickly settled into a rhythm on both sides of the ball by outscoring the Falcons in the remaining three quarters, and holding Fitchburg to just eight points per quarter. Clark had a big 30-8 third quarter that propelled them ahead significantly in the second half.
- Clark was paced by Atiya Watson, who had a game-high 17 points. Catherine Antwi was just behind her with 16 points, while coming off the bench. She also topped the team with five steals.
- The Falcons only had one scorer in double digits. Shanell Smith-Akpan (West Warwick, RI) had a team-high 11 points along with eight rebounds.
