Owls Blow Past Women's Basketball

WESTFIELD, MA: Fitchburg State women's basketball fell to the Owls of Westfield State this afternoon in conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Westfield 102, Fitchburg 51

- Records: Westfield (10-7, 3-1 MASCAC), Fitchburg (4-11, 1-2 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Owls had four student-athletes break into double digits in scoring and 12 players overall scoring in this one. Leading the way was Olivia Hadla, who had a game-high 20 points. Right behind her was Jordan Grant, who finished with a double-double of 18 points and ten rebounds. Hannah Sheldon contributed 17 points, while Ashley Ames scored 10 points. Both Sheldon and Ames did so while coming off the bench.

- The Falcons had ten score in this one, with the Hart sisters leading the way. Kathryn Hart (Shirley, MA) and Stephanie Hart (Shirley, MA) both had eight points. Stephanie had a team-high ten rebounds.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shooting: Westfield was 44% from the field, 30.2% from three, and 56.3% from the line. Fitchburg shot 29.6% from the field, 22.2% from three, and 70.8% from the line.

-  Rebounds: Westfield 48, Fitchburg 47

-  Assists: Westfield 33, Fitchburg 11
