Falcons' Pair Sweeps MASCAC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore guard Angelina Marazzi (Manchester, NH) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's basketball Player of the Week, while freshman guard Mikaela Mitchell (Millbury, Mass.) earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore guard Angelina Marazzi (Manchester, NH) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's basketball Player of the Week, while freshman guard Mikaela Mitchell (Millbury, Mass.) earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Marazzi picks up her first weekly honor on the season after totaling a game-best 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Falcons' 74-57 win over Nichols College in the lone contest of the week.
Mitchell collects her third weekly accolade of the 2017-18 campaign after posting 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with three rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 74-57 win over Nichols College for the Green and Gold.
The Fitchburg State women's basketball team (4-7, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action after the holiday break, when they travel to Anna Maria College on Thursday, January 4, 2018 for a non-conference matchup starting at 5:00 P.M.
