Shimiyimana breaks own school record in the triple jump
Worcester, MA – The Fitchburg State University men's outdoor track & field team 26th overall at the 2024 All-New England Championships with a total of seven points this weekend, hosted by Holy Cross.

How It Happened
Sophomore Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) led the way for the Falcons, placing fifth overall in the javelin with a throw of 62.06 meters, while adding a ninth place finish in the discus with a toss of 46.33 meters.
Senior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester, MA) was also solid for the Green and Gold, finishing sixth overall in the triple jump with a new school record mark of 14.19 meters, surpassing his own record of 14.18 meters set last season.
