Manyok Named MASCAC Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week

Fitchburg, Mass. - Fitchburg State freshman Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year led the way for the Falcons at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational, taking top honors in the 5000m run (15:47.53) and 3000m steeplechase (9:59.26) and the high-jump (1.75m). It was a personal best for Manyok in the steeplechase.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track and field team returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Westfield State.
