Sattiewhite Competes At NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field National Championships
Salem, Mass. native places 12th overall in the high jump
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore Ben Sattiewhite competed at the 2016 Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center Field House on the campus of Grinnell College this weekend.
At the 2016 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, the secondt-year Falcon finished 12th overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.98 meters. This year marks the second consecutive year that Sattiewhite has qualified for the NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships as Ben placed tenth overall with a mark of 1.99 meters in the high jump last year at the JDL Fast Track, hosted by Roanoke College.
The Fitchburg State men's and women's indoor track and field teams concluded their seasons last weekend as the men competed in the 2016 DIII ECAC Championships at Ocean Breeze (Staten Island, N.Y.), while the women competed at the 2016 Tufts Last Chance Qualifier Meet last weekend.
