Mattone Selected MASCAC Ice Hockey Goaltender/Rookie Of The Week
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman goaltender Christopher Mattone (New Windsor, N.Y./New England Wolves) was recently named both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender and Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon posted 27 saves with a 3.03 goals against average and a .900 save percentage in a 3-2 setback to Assumption College on Saturday evening in his collegiate debut for the Green and Gold.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (1-2-0, 1-0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it hosts the Panthers of Plymouth State for a MASCAC clash, starting at 7:00 PM.
