Saari Tabbed MASCAC Ice Hockey Goaltender Of The Week
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore goaltender Kirby Saari was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Cape Elizabeth, Maine native picks up second weekly accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore goaltender Kirby Saari was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Saari collects his second weekly honor of the season after stopping 36 of the 38 shots he faced with a .947 save percentage and a 2.00 goals against average in the Green and Gold's 5-2 win over Framingham State on Saturday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (6-5-1, 4-2-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it visits Assumption College for a contest starting at 7:35 p.m.
