Saari Named MASCAC Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender Kirby Saari was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Saari earns his second weekly honor of the 2016-17 campaign after collecting 27 saves with a 2.00 goals against average and a .931 save percentage in the Falcons 3-2 victory over Connecticut College in the consolation game of the 2016 Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (4-4-1, 3-1-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it travels to UMass Dartmouth to take on the Corsairs for a contest starting at 7:30 p.m.
