Sophomore Ryan Wysocki (Grand Rapids, Mich./Toledo Cherokee) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goalie of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
Grand Rapids, Mich. native collects first weekly honor of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. (January 7, 2013) – Sophomore Ryan Wysocki (Grand Rapids, Mich./Toledo Cherokee) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goalie of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
Wysocki collects his first weekly honor of the season after totaling 72 saves with a .935 save percentage over the weekend at the 48th annual Codfish Bowl hosted by UMass Boston. The second year Falcon stopped 30 of 33 shots in Fitchburg State’s 4-1 loss to Johnson and Wales in opening round action of the tournament before posting a season best 42 saves in the Falcons 2-1 setback to Wentworth Institute of Technology in the consolation game on Sunday.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (4-7-1, 3-3-0 MASCAC) will be back in action on Wednesday at it travels to Framingham State University to take on the Rams at 7:20 p.m.
