Jackson Earns MASCAC Player of the Week Honors
FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State junior guard Jalen Jackson (San Antonio, TX) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Jackson averaged 27 points, 8.5 rebounds, two assists, and 1.5 blocks during a 2-0 week for the Falcons. He scored 33 points on 63.6% shooting (14-22), along with 10 rebounds, a steal, and a block in the 81-79 victory over Vt. State-Castleton. Additionally, he contributed 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the 93-81 win against Dean.
The Fitchburg State men's basketball team (3-0) returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to UMass Boston for a non-conference contest that starts at 7:00 PM.
