Monette Named To NE Football Writers DII/DIII All NE Team
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior defensive lineman Cameron Monette (Winchendon, MA) was named to the 2024 New England Football Writers Association All- New England Team as announced by the New England Football Writers Association on Monday.
Senior defensive lineman collects post-season accolade
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior defensive lineman Cameron Monette (Winchendon, MA) was named to the 2024 New England Football Writers Association All- New England Team as announced by the New England Football Writers Association on Monday.
Monette collects his third post-season honor after being named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) First Team All-Conference as well as being tabbed MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year this past season after leading the team in tackles with 70 (33 solo, 37 assisted) as well as 6.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and one blocked kick.
Thirty-three conference all-stars, representing 17 schools from the six New England DII and DIII football playing conferences have been selected to the 2024 New England Football Writers Association All-New England team. The team, selected by a committee of media relations representatives from the six conferences, honors the best DII and DIII players by position in New England from the 2024 season.
The team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, December12, at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center.
