FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior pitcher Tommy Parsons (Peabody, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The fourth-year hurler collects his first weekly honor on the season after posting an ERA of 0.00, going seven strong innings of one hit ball with a Fitchburg State single game record 13 punch outs in a 1-0, game two triumph over Mass. Maritime Academy on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State baseball team (12-5, 3-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Worcester State to take on the Lancers for a MASCAC tilt, starting at 3:30 PM.
