Falcons hire Ryan Steiner as next Sports Information Director
Ryan Steiner hired, joins Falcons Athletic Staff, takes role of Sports Information Director and SAAC Advisor for the University
FITCHBURG, Mass. (March 2, 2026) — Fitchburg State University has announced the hiring of Ryan Steiner as the University’s next Sports Information Director and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor, effective March 2, 2026.
Steiner is a graduate of Springfield College’s Sport Management program, earning his bachelor’s degree in December 2024. He has spent the past year and a half at the Community College of Rhode Island, serving as Sports Information Director.
Prior to his time at CCRI, Steiner served as Head Supervisor for the 2024 Spalding Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass. He was recognized as the 2024 scholarship winner of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Scholarship for his contributions and leadership in his role at the event.
In addition to his professional experience, Steiner is the creator of the Instagram media account @celticseverything, which has amassed more than 25,000 followers seeking NBA and Boston Celtics news and coverage.

A longtime resident of Oxford, Mass., Steiner’s goal at Fitchburg State is to create a welcoming environment where student-athletes feel recognized and rewarded for their contributions to Falcons Athletics and the University community.
