Fitchburg State Claims Second Straight MASCAC Play of the Week Honors
Fitchburg State has earned the top spot for the second straight week in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Fan Play of the Week voting.
WESTFIELD, Mass. - Fitchburg State has earned the top spot for the second straight week in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Fan Play of the Week voting.
The Falcons landed in first with 47 percent of the vote. Along with Fitchburg State, Framingham State, Massachusetts Maritime and Westfield State all had strong plays from the opening weekend of conference play.
In a tough opening conference match-up with Framingham State, Fitchburg State quarterback Garrett Dellechiaie passed it to wide receiver Ty Spencer, who then launched it downfield to tight end Devin Summiel, who stretched out to make the one handed catch. Video of the play can be found below.
Fitchburg State will be back in action on Friday night as they travel to Bridgewater State at 7:00 pm.
