Crutchfield and C. Long named to MASCAC All-Conference First Team
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Carrie Long (Foxboro, Mass.) and classmate Lia Crutchfield (East Longmeadow, Mass.) were named to the 2018 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
C. Long, collects her third straight All-Conference honor after posting 40 points on a team-leading 37 markers and three assists as well as a team-best 76 ground balls, 86 draw controls and 87 caused turnovers. Joining C. Long on the MASCAC All-Conference first-team is Crutchfield, who earns her fourth All-Conference selection after registering 31 ground balls, 31 draw controls and seven caused turnovers in 17 starts from the back line for the Green and Gold.
The Fitchburg State University Women's Lacrosse team recently concluded its 2018 campaign with an overall record of 8-9 and a 3-4 clip within conference play.
