Stalters Claims All-American Honors At 2017 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships

Norton, Mass. native places fifth overall in the javelin with a toss of 64.35 meters

GENEVA, Ohio – Sophomore Cameron Stalters collected All-American honors at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships after placing fifth overall in the javelin with a toss of 64.35 meters at the Spire Institute this afternoon.

Stalters entered the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships ranked third in the nation In the javelin after securing his spot in the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field National Championships with a first place toss of 67.23 meters at the J. Elmer Swanson Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Wesleyan University in late April.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track and field team concluded its season last weekend as select members of the squad competed at the 2017 ECAC DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Westfield State University.
