THE GAME:This afternoon is senior day and the Fitchburg State ice hockey team would like to honor six seniors playing in their final regular season home contest.

THE SENIORS: #4 Brett Provost Brett Provost has been a four-year defenseman for the Falcons ice hockey team. Serving as assistant captain during his senior season, Provost has totaled 14  points on three goals and 11 assists in 93 career games for the Fitchburg State ice hockey team. This season, Brett has anchored the Falcons blue-line, limiting opponents to a 3.06 goals against average over 23 games.

#7 John Soroka John Soroka has been a four-year member of the Fitchburg State ice hockey team. He has appeared in 46 career games, totaling nine points on one goal and eight assists. This year, John has seen action in three games, collecting a pair of assists on the year, including helpers against Framingham State and Worcester State.

#10 Trevor Lawler  Trevor Lawler has been a four-year forward for the Fitchburg State ice hockey team, serving as an assistant captain during his senior year. He has appeared in 103 career games, registering 89 points with 33 goals and 56 assists. This year, Lawler has seen action in 23 games for the Falcons, ranking second on the team in scoring with 24 points.

#21 Justin Quinn  Justin Quinn has been a four-year leader for the Fitchburg State ice hockey program, serving as an captain during his senior campaign. Throughout his career, Justin has appeared in 99 career games, totaling 75 points with 24 goals and 51 assists. This season, Quinn ranks sixth on the squad in scoring, posting 15 points on four scores and 11 helpers in 23 appearances for the Falcons.

#23 Joseph Caveney Joseph Caveney has been a two-year standout of the Fitchburg State ice hockey team. He has appeared in 38 career games, notching 63 points on 25 markers and 38 dishes, including 13 power-play goals. This year, Joseph has seen action in 23 games, ranking first on the squad in scoring with 42 points on 16 scores and 26 helpers.

#25 Curtis Nikitas Curtis Nikitas has been a four-year member for the Falcons ice hockey squad. Over his career, Nikitas has seen action in 91 career games, posting 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists. This season, Curtis has made the transition from forward to defenseman, registering one score and one assist for two points.

THE OWLS: Westfield State is looking to get back into the win column after dropping a tough 5-4 overtime decision to Salem State University on Thursday evening. Sophomoreforward TJ Powers led the Owls attack, totaling three points on three helpers, while classmate Steven Evans chipped in with two points on one score and one assist. Junior defenseman Billy Miller was also solid, posting a pair of dishes, while sophomore goaltender Ian Perrier stopped 30 shots for Westfield State in the setback.

On the year, Powers has paced the Owls offensively, totaling a team-best 30 points on 13 markers and 17 assists, while Evans has aided the offense with 25 points on seven goals and 18 helpers.

In net, Perrier has logged over 1068 minutes of action, collecting 634 saves with .930 save percentage and a 2.70 goals against average in 18 appearances for the Owls. 

UP NEXT: Fitchburg State will be back in action on Tuesday as it visits the Panthers of Plymouth State University for a contest starting at 6 p.m.
