Leominster, Mass. Native earns second weekly accolade on the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Freshman infielder Brennan Cuddahy was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Cuddahy collects his second weekly honor of the year after batting .308 (4.-for-13) with two doubles, one home run, four runs scored and an RBI with a .692 slugging percentage in a 3-1 week for the Falcons.
The first-year Falcon collected two hits, including a double and two runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Bridgewater State on Monday afternoon before adding a pair of hits with a double, home run, two runs scored and an RBI in a split with Westfield State on Sunday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State baseball team (14-17, 7-5 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it hosts the Anchormen of Rhode Island College in non-conference for a contest starting at 3:30 p.m.
